The UAE’s biggest T20 tournament commences on Friday, 19 January with a clash between defending champions Gulf Giants and Sharjah Warriors at the iconic Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
Dubai, 6 January 2024: The Al Majaz Park in Sharjah was abuzz with cricket enthusiasts thronging the venue for the Big Balloon gala organised ahead of the most-awaited DP World International League T20 which will begin at the iconic Sharjah Cricket Stadium on 19th January with the opening match between defending champions Gulf Giants and home team Sharjah Warriors.

Setting the mood for the big-ticket T20 League, the Big Balloon drew hundreds of cricket enthusiasts who got to meet local stars Sanchit Sharma, right-arm medium pacer, who was part of the title-winning Gulf Giants squad. Sanchit who also plays for the UAE national team was delighted to meet and greet with his fans along with fellow compatriot Junaid Siddique, a seasoned campaigner for UAE with 90 international matches under his belt. Junaid will be turning up for the home team Sharjah Warriors in this edition.

Australia’s World Cup hero David Warner, Andre Russell, David Willey, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Alex Hales, Shimron Hetmyer, Chris Jordan, Trent Boult, Nicholas Pooran, Chris Woakes and Maheesh Theekshana are among the legendary players featuring in this edition of DP World ILT20. More than 100 international and 24 UAE players will feature in the tournament.
The DP World ILT20 will be a memorable occasion for all, the tournament final will be staged at the iconic ‘Ring of Fire’ Dubai International Stadium on Saturday, 17 February.
